Columbus, Ohio · dry method since 2015

Dry carpet cleaning in Columbus. Walk on it the minute we're done.

No hot water forced into the backing, no fans, no room roped off until tomorrow. We work a dry compound through the pile, vacuum it back out with the soil, and you get your floor back the same hour.

What makes it dry

The whole difference is the water we never put down.

Steam cleaning is really hot water extraction. It pushes water and detergent into the carpet and then tries to pull most of it back. What it cannot pull back sits in the backing and the pad, and that is where the drying wait, the wicking and the fast re-soiling all come from.

We never put it down in the first place.

You use the room immediately

In their own words on the old site, and it is still true: “Our dry cleaning process allows for immediate use of your carpets after service completion. There’s no need to wait as our method leaves no residual moisture.”

HOST compound, not a wand

An established dry carpet cleaning system. The compound is brushed through the pile, holds the soil, and is vacuumed back out. Nothing soaks.

Green Seal certified products

That is a certification on the products we use, which matters in a house with a dog and a toddler on the floor all day.

The part nobody mentions

A wet clean is not finished when the van leaves.

It is finished somewhere between four and twenty four hours later, with the furniture still stacked in the hall and everyone walking the long way round. Then the water in the backing starts to travel back up as it dries, and the stain you watched disappear comes back as a faint shadow.

Nothing in a dry clean has to dry, so none of that is on the table. You put the sofa back where it was and get on with your evening.

One visit, start to finish

What actually happens on your floor

No mystery equipment in the driveway and no upsell at the door. Three passes, in order, on every residential job we take in Columbus.

A soiled traffic lane running across a pale carpet toward an open front door

Before we start

We read the floor before we touch it

Traffic lanes, the grey path through the middle of the room, the spots that have already been scrubbed at with something from under the sink. Fiber and soil decide which compound goes down, so this part happens on hands and knees, not from the doorway.

The dry pass

Compound goes in, brushes work it through the pile

HOST compound is spread over the area and driven down into the pile by counter rotating brushes. It behaves like thousands of tiny sponges: it holds the soil instead of dissolving it into water that then has to be pulled back out of the backing.

The lift

It comes back out carrying the dirt with it

Everything that went down gets vacuumed back up, and the soil leaves with it. There is no rinse stage, so nothing is left sitting in the backing to wick a stain back up to the surface three days later.

A job we get reminded about

Three companies had already tried those stairs.

A customer here in Columbus had several pet stains on her stairs and had already had other companies out to look at them. Ours came out. That is the most useful thing we can tell you about pet work, because stairs are the hardest version of it. The pile is worn, the soil is ground into the nose of every tread, and there is nowhere for a wet machine to sit.

Brilliant Dry did a great job cleaning my carpet! They were very easy to schedule and the price was reasonable. My stairs had several pet stains and they came out perfectly. I have had other companies come out but this was by far the best result. I would highly recommend!!

Before you book

The questions we get on the phone

Straight away. Our dry cleaning process allows for immediate use of your carpets after service completion. There is no need to wait, because the method leaves no residual moisture. That is the whole reason to book a dry clean instead of a steam clean: no fans, no roped off rooms, no putting the furniture back tomorrow.

We work a HOST cleaning compound down into the pile with counter rotating brushes. The compound holds the soil, and then it is vacuumed back out along with everything it picked up. Water never soaks the backing or the pad, which is why the floor is dry when we leave rather than hours later.

We use Green Seal certified products in our cleaning process, and the green line is biodegradable and non toxic. Because nothing stays damp in the pile or the pad, there is also no slow drying period for anything to grow in.

Usually, and it is one of the jobs we get called back on most. Pet odor rarely lives in the carpet face, it lives in the backing, the pad and sometimes the subfloor, so we treat the source with an enzymatic neutralizer rather than covering it with fragrance. A customer in Columbus had several pet stains on her stairs that other companies had already tried. Ours came out.

Yes. Area rugs including wool, silk, Oriental, Persian and antique, tile and grout, upholstery, mattresses and hard surfaces. The low moisture approach matters on tile too, because grout is porous and flooding it just carries the dirt somewhere you cannot see.
